The Limestone County Sheriff’s
Office maintains a Sex Offender Registry as a public service tool. Individuals
listed on this registry have been convicted of a sexual offense that requires
them to meet a number of mandates including annual registration with law
enforcement. This registry is designed to increase community safety and
awareness.
This information is meant to educate you about offenders in Limestone County. It
has not been made available for you to take action against any individual. Any
action against an offender which is determined to be a violation of law will
subject the violator to arrest and prosecution. Please report all information on
offenders directly to our office.

Criminal Sex Offender Restrictions
The
following restrictions are applicable to persons who have a certain conviction(s)
which deems them to be considered a Criminal Sex Offender, as determined by Act
2005-301. In accordance with Title 15 Chapter 20 Code of Alabama.
Must reside for a minimum of 30 days at my current address, unless written
approval is received from the Sheriff of said county of residence, or Chief of
Police if residing in a municipality with a population of 5,000 or more before
changing said address.
Within 10 days of receiving verification form from the Department of Public’
Safety, will report to the Sheriff’s Office with the proper verification form.
Will report to the Sheriff’s Office and or Police Department bi-annually (birth
month and sixth month after) to verify employment and residence even if a
verification form from the Department of Public Safety has not been received.
Shall not establish a residence or accept employment within 2,000 feet of the
property on which any public, private, or parochial school, licensed day care
facility, or any other childcare facility is located.
Shall not establish a residence within 1,000 feet of the property on which any
former victim(s) of the said established Criminal Sex Offender or their
immediate family members reside, or make any visual or audible sexually
suggestive or obscene gesture, sound or communication at or to a former victim.
Shall not establish a residence where a minor resides, unless the Criminal Sex
Offender is the parent of the minor and parental rights have not been or are not
in the process of being terminated and the child is not a victim of a criminal
sex offense committed by the said Criminal Sex Offender.
A Criminal Sex Offender shall not change their name.
Effective September 1, 2006, Criminal Sex Offender must obtain and always have
in their possession a valid driver license or identification card issued by the
Alabama Department of Public Safety in their possession.
If conviction involved a child under the age of 12, shall not loiter on or be
within 500 feet of any property on which there is a school, child care facility,
playground, park, athletic field or facility, or any other business or facility
having a principal purpose of caring for, educating, or entertaining minors.
If said Criminal Sex Offender knowingly fails to comply with the provisions of
the Community Notification Act, they shall have committed a Class C Felony.
